Solventum pediatric training offers a comprehensive approach to address fundamental CDI skills, Medicare Severity (MS), case mix index (CMI), and Solventum™ All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (APR DRGs) Classification System, the intricacies of the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS), coding guidelines and key major diagnostic categories (MDCs) with a pediatric focus. Solventum's advanced pediatric training can prepare your CDI team to recognize the unique problems and challenges in a pediatric population, leading to more accurate documentation.

This week of training has been tailor made for experienced CDI, coding and quality professionals and multidisciplinary CDI teams looking to develop their pediatric knowledge. It is also suited to clinical documentation specialists (CDS) with a pediatric background looking to enhance their skills and for pediatric focused CDI teams to improve their overall CDI knowledge.

• Distinguish and identify unique differentiators for pediatric and neonatal populations in the coding and documentation process.
• More accurately diagnose pediatric patients who are still developing and require special attention to growth and development issues that can impact the course of care for years to come.
• Review the coding and reporting of certain conditions originating in the perinatal period.
• Conduct an evaluation and management (E/M) exam and physical for a pediatric patient to provide the clinical picture of how the condition might differ in an immature body with differing physiological responses to adults.
• Discover how the clinical application of APR DRG, MS, CMI, IPPS and MDCs are impacted by pediatric and common secondary diagnosis.
• Provide specific examples to show how chronic disorders, such as cystic fibrosis, tracheal stenosis and hydrocephalus differ in the two populations.
