AEX fibrous functional media separates by charge, effectively capturing contaminants and impurities that are negatively charged at the harvest cell culture pH, including cells, cell debris, host cell proteins (HCP) and DNA. 3M™ Harvest RC Chromatographic Clarifier platform 

Streamline your processes by combining steps into a single solution with the 3M Harvest RC chromatographic clarifier platform. This single platform offers you two innovative solutions: 3M™ Harvest RC Chromatographic Clarifier for direct clarification and 3M™ Harvest RC Centrate Chromatographic Clarifier for centrate clarification. Both feature fiber chromatography technology and can enable you to replace multiple depth filtration steps while increasing your yield of therapeutic product.

De 3M™ Harvest RC familie met de 3M™ Harvest RC Chromatographic Clarifier BT500. 3M™ Harvest RC is de volgende generatie in oogst- en klaringstechnologie voor culturen met een hoge celdichtheid. Deze oplossing is ontworpen als een efficiënte optie om de opbrengsten van monoklonale antilichamen (mAb) te verhogen, terwijl het upstream proces wordt vereenvoudigd door de centrifuge- en/of dieptefiltratie-eenheidsoperaties te vervangen.

3M™ Emphaze™ AEX Hybrid Purifier

For removal of small soluble and insoluble contaminants alike, there’s the Emphaze AEX hybrid purifier. This solution dovetails with your current process to improve downstream purification, removing small contaminants and increasing yield.  


Use it for secondary purification after your depth filtration step in processes not using a centrifuge, or in high turbidity applications where a centrifuge is used. The Emphaze AEX hybrid purifier can also stand alone for primary filtration in low turbidity applications not requiring a centrifuge. 


In a representative bacterial lysate process, a decrease of soluble contaminants and increase of process robustness may be achieved by using Emphaze AEX hybrid purifier. Reduced impurities, including endotoxins, DNA and HCP, may lead to chromatography column protection (e.g., IMAC, CEX).

High performance depth filtration

A widely used approach to biopharmaceutical purification, depth filtration goes deep. It offers reliable filtration throughout the filtration media, particularly when there is a high particle load, compared to just the filter surface with traditional membrane filtration. Our family of 3M™ Zeta Plus™ Depth Filters are easy to handle and come in a variety of nominal pore sizes, formats, media types and configurations.  


The single-use 3M™ Zeta Plus™ Encapsulated System offers scalability while delivering excellent performance in throughput and filtration efficiency with proper media selection and sizing.
