Karim Hanna
Dr. Karim Hanna is a husband, father, and Family Medicine physician. He earned his MD from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2014 and completed his residency at Florida International University’s West Kendall Baptist Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hanna is also board certified in Clinical Informatics.
Currently, Dr. Hanna is an Associate Professor at USF Health and Chief of Family Medicine and founding Program Director at USF’s Tampa General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Hanna is known for his innovative approach to medical education, including developing curricula and mobile applications for learner assessment. He is interested in using growth mindset in feedback and learner-teacher encounters and developing effective curricula. Dr. Hanna’s recent work in AI emphasizes its transformative potential to enhance patient care and streamline medical education.
