Product details

The ISO 11138-1:2017 and ISO 11138-2:2017 compliant 3M™ Attest™ Rapid Ethylene Oxide Biological Indicator, 1294, is a self-contained biological indicator (BI) that consists of a Bacillus atrophaeus spore strip and a sealed glass ampoule with growth media. The spore strip and media ampoule are contained in a plastic vial topped with a green color-coded cap which includes a chemical process indicator on top.

When processed, the chemical process indicator turns from reddish-brown to green. After the ethylene oxide sterilization process, the BI is activated to join the growth media with the processed spore strip. The BI is incubated in a 3M™ Attest™ 390G Auto-reader for a final fluorescent result at 4 hours.

  • Fast and accurate 4-hour result
  • ISO 11138-1:2017 and ISO 11138-2:2017 compliant
  • Color-coded (green cap) for quick reference and easy use
  • Reliably monitors all ethylene oxide (EO, EtO) sterilization cycles
  • Compatible with the 3M™ Attest™ Auto-reader 390G
