3M™ 1BG Series Filter Housing

Convenience of Design

3M™ 1BG Series Filter Housing utilizes a three-piece design to ease filter change-out and cleaning. Available in Cast Iron / Steel, the housings fit a variety of industrial air and gas applications. The 3M™ 1BG Series Filter Housing have a maximum flow rate of 70 SCFM and are rated to 150 psig at 250^oF.

The 3M™ 1BG Series Filter Housing design consists of 1) a head with ¾ inch in-line horizontal inlet / outlet connections, 2) a cylindrical shell and 3) a bottom cover plate. The housing design and the petcock on the drain allow collection and easy drainage of fluids condensed from the gas stream without disassembly. A single nut closure to the center post speeds disassembly for filter change-out and housing cleaning. The two (2) gaskets used to seal the housing are available in several materials: Buna N (as supplied), Fluorocarbon, PTFE and Rubber/aramid fiber. An optional mounting bracket is available (P/N 3558101).

The 1BG1 model holds a single 4 7/8 inch filter cartridge, while the 1BG2 model holds a single 9 ¾ inch filter cartridge. Many filter cartridge series can be used in 3M™ 1BG2 Series Filter Housing (common length).
