We designed 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PSN Series nylon filter capsules with highly retentive membrane filter elements to meet the exacting requirements of photoresist and ancillary chemical applications at point-of-use. Utilizing our Advanced Pleat Technology, 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PSN Series filter capsules provide gel and particle reduction in alcohols, bases, developers, etchants/strippers, and solvents.
Product details
3M™ LifeASSURE™ PSN Series filter capsules are manufactured using Advanced Pleat Technology, a staggered and stepped configuration which reduces open space between the outside pleats. This novel technology maximizes capacity by increasing the open area, which allows for greater particle loading at the inside diameter, while the shorter stepped pleats take advantage of existing open space closer to the outside diameter of the capsule. The result is a fully used surface area.
We construct 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PSN Series filter capsules with high efficiency, naturally hydrophilic, Nylon 6,6 membrane. This allows the filter to be used with no need to pre-wet with IPA and flush, which reduces chemical interaction and eliminates a potential source of contamination and reduces chemical usage. Another benefit our Nylon 6,6 membrane offers is a reduction for potential microbubble formation by not de-wetting in outgassing fluids unlike hydrophobic membranes such as polypropylene, UPE, and PTFE. The membrane supports are made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). All capsule components are made of polypropylene and vent O-rings are available in fluorocarbon and EPR. No adhesives, binders, or surfactants are used in the manufacturing process.
Capsules are manufactured and double bagged in a clean environment under ISO certified quality systems using non-contact thermoplastic welding techniques to provide superior downstream cleanliness out of the package. All 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PSN Series filter capsules are integrity tested.
- Nylon filter capsules feature a highly retentive LifeASSURE PSN filter element designed for photoresist and ancillary chemical applications at point-of-use (POU)
- Naturally hydrophilic Nylon 6,6 pleated membrane, featuring 3M’s Advanced Pleat Technology, maximizes the surface area of the filter, for excellent gel and particle reduction
- Membrane is enclosed in an all-polypropylene capsule construction, available in 2.5 and 5-inch lengths
- Available in three grade designations for 0.2, 0.1, and 0.04 micron ratings
