Since she was a child, Tami McMasters Gomez has loved numbers. Today, as director of coding and clinical documentation and improvement (CDI) at UC Davis Health, she’s on a mission to help clinicians.

Her recovery took medical expertise, advanced medical technology and, above all, her will to keep going.
