Patricia Welch Saleeby
Dr. Patricia Welch Saleeby earned a Ph.D. in social work from the George Warren Brown School at Washington University, M.S.S.A. in nonprofit management from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, and B.A. in biology from Oberlin College.
Dr. Saleeby is Program Director in Social Work at Bradley University. She is a recognized expert in health and social care classifications - most notably for her involvement in the development and implementation of the World Health Organization's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). She co-chairs the WHO Functioning and Disability Reference Group (FDRG), and serves as an ICF technical expert with the PACIO Project, a working group addressing health interoperability data exchange between post-acute care providers, patients, and stakeholders. She is also a community participant of GRAVITY Project, a collaborative standardizing how social risk data is documented and shared across electronic health records (EHRs) and community-based organizations. Her work has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, American Psychological Association, and the National Center for Health Statistics. She is a member of the Coalition for Social Work and Health as well as the current editor in chief for the journal Health and Social Work.
