3M™ LifeASSURE™ BLA Series Filter Cartridges encompass two distinctive technologies - multi-zone microporous membrane technology and Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) - to provide unmatched protection of final membrane filter cartridges, as well as an exceptionally long service life.

Multi-zone microporous Nylon 6,6 membrane.

By eliminating dual-layer membrane construction, this multi-zone structure provides a larger surface area, a significantly increased contaminant holding capacity and a long service life. It has an open zone that acts as a pre-filter by capturing larger particles and colloids on the upstream side of the membrane and a tighter zone on the downstream side that retains smaller contaminants to maintain high retention efficiency.

Advanced Pleat Technology (APT).

3M’s APT design helps to maximize the useful surface area of the filter while maintaining open flow paths between the media pleats. It also provides lower pressure drops, a longer service life and lower overall operational costs.

Users can integrity test 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BLA Series Filter Cartridges for bubble point, diffusive flow or pressure hold procedures while the filters are in the housing to ensure proper installation and operation.

3M™ LifeASSURE™ BLA Series Filter Cartridges are constructed of a single-layer, Nylon 6,6 microporous membrane pleated with polypropylene upstream and downstream support materials. The inner core, outer cage and end-cap adapters are made of polypropylene. Multiple length filter cartridges with industry standard connection styles are produced without adding resin or binder compounds to fit the most widely used housing designs and system sizes. All 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BLA Series Filter Cartridges are 100% integrity tested post-production to ensure quality and durability.
