Featuring asymmetric hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane pleated cartridges with a polypropylene (PP) microfiber upstream layer, 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BBA Series Filter Cartridges are ideal for sterilizing filtration in a variety of food and beverage applications. Available in 10, 20, 30 and 40 inches, these filters offer an extended service life, improved performance and throughput with reliable spoilage microorganism retention.

Powerfully efficient filtration
Offered in both 0.45μm and 0.65μm rated filter cartridges, 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BBA filters provide reliable retention of common spoilage microorganisms, even at challenging concentrations exceeding those experienced by most beverage producers. LifeASSURE BBA filters are compliant with FDA-CFR 21 for indirect food contact applications.Our 0.65μm filter cartridges are tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI Standard 401 for microplastic reduction (≥ 85% efficiency for particles ≥ 0.5μm). LifeASSURE BBA provides greater volume capacity when compared to 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BNA Series Filter Cartridges with an extended service life, resulting in fewer cartridge change-outs for a more cost-effective filtration. Combined with one of Solventum’s premium pre-filtration products, these filters offer bottlers a complete rigorous contaminant control solution while maintaining a long service life.

LifeASSURE BBA filter 0.65μm filter cartridges are tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI Standard 401 for microplastic reduction (≥ 85% efficiency for particles ≥ 0.5μm).

Offering an extended service life and higher throughput capacity, LifeASSURE BBA Series Filter Cartridges combine an asymmetrical PES membrane with an upstream meltblown polypropylene microfiber media. The upstream polypropylene support layer protects the downstream membrane, enabling a longer life.

Broad sanitation compatibility

Designed for durability, LifeASSURE BBA Series Filter Cartridges can withstand repeated exposure to hot water sanitization and steam sterilization as well as common chemical cleaning and sanitizing agents. 

LifeASSURE BBA Series Filters are constructed of a single layer of microfiber nonwoven polypropylene and a single layer of PES microporous membrane pleated with polypropylene upstream and downstream support material. The outer cage, inner core and reinforced end-cap adapters are made of polypropylene.

Filter cartridges are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system using the most advanced thermoplastic welding techniques for filter cartridge integrity. LifeASSURE BBA 0.65μm filter cartridges are tested as a manufacturer’s claim (85% EFT at 0.5μm) per NSF/ANSI Standard 401 for microplastic claims.

All filter cartridges are 100% integrity tested at a manufacturing location to verify quality.
