Designed for use on intact and damaged skin, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is a fast-drying non-cytotoxic barrier film that helps minimize the risk of dermatitis and provides clinically supported protection against moisture-associated skin damage (MASD) and for I.V. and vascular access sites. Featuring a unique polymer blend, it forms a non-sticky, breathable, waterproof and transparent coating, allowing you to continuously monitor your patients’ skin. Suitable for adults, children and infants over one month old, our barrier film adapts to the contours of the skin, including bends and creases, without requiring removal — making application easier for you and your patients.

Thanks to its waterproof formula, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film doesn’t wash off, providing long-lasting skin protection with a fast-drying, non-sticky barrier film that’s easy to apply.

Effective protective film coating

Help maintain continuous skin protection for your patients with our sterile,* transparent, alcohol-free,** fragrance-free and preservative-free no sting barrier film. It’s also compatible with CHG and povidone-iodine (PVP-I), making it essential for vascular access site protection, while reducing the potential for dermatitis.

Serving as a barrier to help protect the skin from friction and shear, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film provides up to 72 hours of MASD protection to support cost savings.

Clinically supported

Designed for routine protection, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is ideal for intact skin under adhesive products including vascular access dressings and devices, tape, wound dressings and ostomy barriers. It can also be used as a protective barrier film around stomas, tracheostomies and wounds and areas exposed to moisture, friction and shear.

Offering a variety of wound care options including a wand, wipe and spray, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is convenient and easy to apply. It comes in an easy-to-open peel-down package that allows for aseptic delivery* and contains a unique blend of polymer and silicone fluid (or silicone oligomer). The additional silicone allows the film to flex with the skin and helps to maintain a continuous protective coating.
