SILVERCEL™ Antimicrobial Alginate Dressing
About the product
Ideal for chronic wounds1,2 with moderate to high levels of exudate, the Silvercel Antimicrobial Alginate Dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad that provides excellent fluid absorption and lasting antimicrobial activity thanks to its blend of high G (guluronic acid) alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and silver-coated nylon fibers.
Product details
- Releases silver ions to provide up to seven days of antimicrobial protection3 in vitro against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens including MRSA, MRSE and VRE4.5
- Manages moderate to highly exuding wounds,6 allowing for effective exudate management.7
Suggested Applications
- Management of all moderate to heavily exudating partial and full-thickness wounds including pressure injuries, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, donor sites and traumatic and surgical wounds.
