About the product

The 3M™ MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane is made from a membrane laminated to a nonwoven. 3M™ MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membranes are intended for further processing by OEMs into frames for applications in MBR for industrial wastewater and municipal wastewater. In these applications the lamination of the membrane increases the mechanical stability and thus enables operation under challenging mechanical conditions.

Product details

Especially in wastewater applications the membrane provides a high-performance. In these applications the position of the retention layer in the cross section near the upstream side of the membrane eases the cleaning of the filter cake from the membrane surface. The 3M™ MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane in this compound offers proven throughput performance excelling in applications that require high bacteria retention. Made from Polyethersulfone the membrane remains spontaneously wettable over long periods of time and does not require wetting agents after being dried or chemically cleaned.
  • The lamination of the membrane increases the mechanical stability and thus enables operation under challenging mechanical conditions
  • The 3M™ MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane can be manufactured into filter plates by using common welding technologies in which the nonwoven side is welded to the frame
  • The 3M™ MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane can withstand chemically enhanced cleaning procedures with the following common chemicals: hydrochloric acid, citric acid, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, or sodium hypochlorite (pH 2 to pH 12) without affecting the characteristics and the mechanical stability of the membrane
  • High mechanical strength offers good processability
