With a polypropylene ﬁlter construction that oﬀers broad chemical compatibility, the 3M™ 700 Series Filter Cartridges are an excellent solution for your industrial ﬁltration operations including process water, bottled water, ground water, well injection and produced water, chemicals, machine coolants and food and beverages.

Chemical compatibility.

The polypropylene ﬁlter construction gives 3M™ 700 Series Filter Cartridges a broad chemical compatibility so they can be used for a wide range of industrial applications.

Ergonomic design.

Filter change-outs are quick and easy and do not require any special tools or hardware.

High contaminant capacity.

The radial pleated microﬁber media design optimises the surface area of the ﬁlter cartridges, resulting in a low ﬂux and high dirt loading capacity.

Suitable for food contact applications.

3M™ 700 Series Filter Cartridges are also intended for use in Food and Beverage (F&B) applications. For details related to the speciﬁc use conditions or limitations for food contact applications please contact your 3M representative for more information.

Choose between 3M™ 740 Filter Cartridges or 3M™ 720 Filter Cartridges depending on your industrial ﬁltration needs. 3M 740 series cartridges are used in ﬁlter housings that accept a 6.5 inch/165 mm outer diameter, 226 O-ring connections and are available in 40 inch/1010 mm and 30 inch/760 mm length ﬁlter cartridges. 720 series cartridges are used in ﬁlter housings that accept 7 inch/180 mm outer diameter, 226 O-ring connections and are available in 28 inch/710 mm length ﬁlter cartridges. Polypropylene microﬁber forms the basis of the ﬁltration media we use in the 700 series ﬁlter cartridges. Our manufacturing processes allow for tightly controlled speciﬁcations resulting in a ﬁlter media with consistent and predictable particle retention characteristics. Polypropylene provides broad chemical compatibility for use in a variety of applications.

We produce 740 series cartridges in two conﬁgurations – “B” and “K.” The “B” versions contain the maximum amount of ﬁlter media surface area for those applications where high contaminant holding capacity is needed. The “K” versions contain an optimised amount of ﬁlter media surface area (60% - 70% of ‘B” versions) for those applications that beneﬁt from a low unit cost ﬁlter design. In “B” and “K” versions, the microﬁber media is pleated in a compound radial design that optimises the usable surface area of the ﬁlter cartridges. The 740 series cartridges also incorporate polypropylene end caps, outer sleeves and cores to protect the pleat structure and provide durability. A double O-ring seal helps reduce the risk of ﬂuid bypass. Work with your local distributor to ﬁnd the appropriate ﬁlter and housing for your application.
