Designed for wet or dry hair removal, the 3M™ Surgical Clipper 9661L with Pivoting Head is a cordless, rechargeable clipper that helps improve contouring. It includes a drop-in charger stand with a cord and is compatible with the 3M™ Surgical Clipper Blade 9660 or 9690.

3M Surgical Clipper Blade 9660

• Should be held flat or at a slight angle to the patient's skin. • For best results, clip against the direction of the hair growth. • For sensitive skin areas, stretch the skin taut while clipping. The Surgical Clipper Blade Assembly is able to pivot while on the 3M Surgical Clipper 9661L with Pivoting Head.

• The Specialty Blade Assembly, designed for head and heavy body hair, should be held flat to the patient's skin. • The Specialty Blade Assembly is NOT able to pivot while on the 3M Surgical Clipper 9661L with Pivoting Head. • DO NOT use Specialty Blade Assembly 9690 in sensitive areas such as the scrotum and axilla.

Remove the backing from the blade packaging, hold the clipper at a 45-degree angle over the opened blade assembly package and push the clipper body onto the blade to secure.

Note: An audible snap indicates that the blade is securely attached.

Use your thumb to “pop off” the used blade into a sharps container.

Note: Always use a new blade for each patient to reduce cross contamination.

  • Away-from-skin cutting position of the clipper blade minimizes nicks and cuts, helping to reduce the risk of surgical site infections (SSI).
  • Removes all hair types including coarse to fine, thick to thin under dry, wet, soapy or trauma conditions (9660 only).
  • Lithium-ion battery charges in four hours and provides up to 160 minutes of runtime without recharging.
  • Battery indicator light shows green when charged, flashes amber when it’s time to charge and blinks amber while charging.
  • Not made with natural rubber latex or dry natural rubber.
  • Blade stays sharp and unclogged for up to 30 minutes of dry hair clipping.
  • Easy, one-handed blade attachment and removal (9660 only).

  • Remove wet or dry body and head hair from any patient by a healthcare professional in preparation for any medical procedure requiring hair removal.
  • Intended for use in a hospital, clinic, ambulatory surgery center or other medical facilities.
  • Not intended for home use.
  • Not tested for use in mobile emergency medical services (EMS) environments.
  • Clipper is designed and tested for use only with the 3M™ Surgical Clipper Charger Stands (9662L, 9663L, 9665L, 9668L, and 9669L) and 3M™ single-use blade assemblies (9660 and 9690).
