The 3M™ MacroPES™ Flat Sheet Membranes pore structure in combination with the relatively open surface is responsible for the high filtration performance with a low tendency to blocking.

- 3M™ MacroPES™ is available in large nominal pore sizes of 3µm and 5µm
- 3M™ MacroPES™ Flat Sheet Membranes can be sterilized by ETO- and gamma-irradiation
- Good processability due to high mechanical strength
- Low tendency to blocking
- High flux results on 3M™ MacroPES™ series
- Made from Polyethersulfone
- Good thermal welding and good bond ability
- Pores are evenly distributed over the surface of the membrane
- Excellent wetting properties due to polar surface
- Negative zeta potential of the membrane
- Withstands dilute acids and bases (pH 2-12), and a many different solvent
- Chemical enhanced backwash with common chemical cleaners, such as hydrochloric acid, citric acid formic acid, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide or sodium hypochlorite does not affect the mechanical stability of the membranes
