About the Case

A 26-year-old female patient presented with a root canal treated tooth 11 and extensive temporary composite restorations on teeth 11 and 21. Treatment plan was to achieve high esthetics and function with two lithium disilicate crowns. To ensure a successful outcome materials designed to simplify the procedures were employed. Precision impression was performed with 3M™ Imprint™ VPS Impression Material, temporary restorations were made of 3M™ Protemp™ 4 Temporization Material and for final cementation 3M™ RelyX™ Universal Resin Cement was used in combination with 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive.

Cord placement after completion of preparations.
Insertion of impressioning tray with 3M™ Imprint™ 4 Heavy VPS Material.
Temporary crowns made with 3M™ Protemp™ 4 Temporization Material in place.
HF-etching of the glass ceramic crowns (lithium disilicate HT A2 with layering technique) after the final try-in.
Application of 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive as silane followed by gentle air drying.
Application of 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive to the preparations followed by gentle air drying.
Tack-cure of 3M™ RelyX™ Universal Resin Cement excess before clean-up.
Final situation after two weeks.
