3M™ Actisorb™ Plus 25 Activated Charcoal Dressing with Silver is an activated charcoal dressing with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon sleeve. Traps odour while providing an effective barrier to bacterial penetration, which may help reduce infection.¹
Product details
Actisorb Silver 220 Dressing is effective in vitro against 150 microorganisms associated with wound infection, including MRSA and VRE.² An in vitro study shows the dressing provides effective antimicrobial activity without causing any harm to host cells nor preventing fibroblast proliferation.³ Actisorb Silver 220 Dressing eliminates malodour thereby improving the patient’s quality of life.⁴ As malodor might be accompanied by wound fluids, Actisorb Silver 220 Dressing also manages exudate while helping to maintain a moist wound healing environment.⁵
