Explore the right treatment for you
Getting started is easier than you may think
Your journey begins with a personlised consultation. Your doctor will review your dental history and discuss treatment options tailored to your needs. If you're new to the practice, be sure to bring any records from your dentist.
Before starting orthodontic treatment, visit your dentist for a professional cleaning and to address any dental concerns. A healthy foundation sets the stage for a successful outcome.
At your first visit, your doctor will take x-rays, photos, and possibly place spacers. Impressions or digital scans of your teeth will be taken to create your custom treatment plan.
Before your bonding or aligner fitting appointment, brush and floss thoroughly. Then, sit back and relax—your doctor will guide you through the process of getting started.
Oral hygiene is essential! Brush after every meal using fluoride toothpaste. With braces: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and specialised tools like “tree brushes” to clean around brackets. With aligners: Brush before reinserting trays and consider using an antimicrobial rinse for hard-to-reach areas.
Floss daily to prevent plaque buildup and gum disease. With braces: Use floss threaders or interdental brushes to reach between wires. With aligners: Floss normally before reinserting trays.
Regular check-ins every few weeks help monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. These visits are key to keeping your treatment on track.
When it’s time to remove your braces or complete your aligner series, the process is quick and exciting. You’ll be fitted with retainers to help maintain your new smile while your gums settle.
Even after treatment ends, your oral hygiene routine continues. Brush twice daily, floss regularly, and keep up with dental checkups to protect your beautiful results.
