3M™ Zeta Plus™ Encapsulated System Scale-Up Filter Capsule with LA Series Media is a family of depth filters that are low in extractables and are designed to provide clarification of bioprocess, biological, and pharmaceutical fluids. The LA media has a positive charge that pulls out more negatively charged contaminants compared to a mechanical filtration mechanism alone. Pharmaceutical Grade Media These scale-up filters are manufactured to controls described in our Drug Master File on record with the FDA. Certificates of Quality are included with every filter. These filters meet the requirements of USP Class VI Biological Reactivity Tests and meet the strict requirements specified in the Drug Master File, including product control and traceability. Encapsulating High Performance When faced with the challenges of filtration for the bioprocessing industry, where upstream cell culture clarification or downstream impurity removal is required, the Encapsulated Systems provide ergonomic, easy-to-use solutions. 3M Zeta Plus Encapsulated System Scale-Up Filter Capsules, with LA Series Media are available in three sizes to meet varying volumes and applications and have been designed for minimal hold-up volume. They also incorporate 3 feet and rubber shoes for a firm, level posture on many surfaces and can also be stacked for convenience. The scale-up capsule filters with 170cm2, 340 cm2 and 1020 cm2 media are designed for intermediate scale studies and low volume production filtration.

FDA Drug Master File (DMF) and USP Class VI Reactivity compliance eases validation and regulatory submission by providing vital documentation and traceability.
Filter media retains contaminants by mechanical entrapment and electrokinetic adsorption.
High contaminant holding capacity provides economical filtration and reliable particle reduction.
Full range of scalable capsule and cartridge filter configurations allow pilot testing and scale-up using the same materials as in full-scale systems.
Low hold-up volume for minimal fluid loss.
