Transforming clinical coding across NSW Health with the largest global rollout of 360 Encompass™, setting a new benchmark for innovation at scale
We are excited to celebrate a major milestone for the Solventum™ Health Information Systems Australia and New Zealand team with the successful go-live of the 360 Encompass™ System across NSW Health. This landmark deployment represents the largest rollout of 360 Encompass™ globally. Supporting one of the world's largest public health systems, the 360 Encompass System combines artificial intelligence, computer-assisted clinical coding (CAC), clinical documentation integrity (CDI) and quality management capabilities to support health information professionals. The solution automatically analyses clinical documentation and suggests ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS codes, while final coding decisions remain with qualified clinical coders.
Clinical coding is a specialised profession responsible for translating complex patient care encounters into standardised data used for healthcare funding, planning, quality reporting, research and improving patient outcomes. The move toward AI-enabled capabilities is designed to reduce repetitive manual tasks, allowing coders to focus their expertise on complex cases, compliance requirements and auditing activities.
