Two advanced technologies. One path for active healing.

Restrata™ Synthetic Electrospun Fiber Matrix

In December 2025, Solventum completed its acquisition of Acera Surgical, expanding its wound care portfolio into synthetic tissue matrices for acute care settings, including Restrata™ Synthetic Electrospun Fiber Matrix. This gives our valued customers more innovative ways to treat complex wounds.

Restrata™ Matrix is the first electrospun, 100% synthetic, fully resorbable matrix engineered to be structurally similar to human extracellular matrix (ECM) and support soft tissue remodeling. It signals the body through structural cues rather than growth factors to create the foundation for soft tissue repair. Built to perform in challenging wound environments, Restrata™ Matrix supports cellular infiltration, neovascularization and organized collagen deposition. It degrades via hydrolysis over time, leaving native tissue behind

Restrata is indicated for:

  • Soft tissue healing: for management of surgical, full-thickness and traumatic wounds
  • Soft tissue reinforcement: for implantation to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists, in patients requiring soft tissue repair and/or reinforcement

V.A.C.® Therapy

Meet the most studied NPWT solution — Solventum™ V.A.C.® Therapy. It’s the first commercially available negative pressure wound therapy system and has helped in the treatment of 11 million wounds worldwide.**

It promotes an environment for wound healing by protecting the wound from external contamination, providing a moist wound environment, and helps to:

  • Draw wound edges together
  • Remove exudate and infectious material
  • Reduce edema and promote perfusion
  • Promote granulation tissue formation

"Restrata™ Matrix and V.A.C.® Therapy can succeed even in the most complex wound environments. With Restrata Matrix, I consistently see significant granulation tissue growth within a few days, even in the most challenging cases. Combining Restrata Matrix with V.A.C.® Therapy provides an even greater opportunity to promote healing and improve patient outcomes."

"Complex wounds require clinicians to support tissue repair while also maintaining the right healing environment — this indication brings those needs together in a single approach, giving clinicians another option to support healing more effectively across the course of care.”
