Featuring asymmetric hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane pleated cartridges with a polypropylene (PP) microfiber upstream layer, 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BBA Series Filter Cartridges are ideal for sterilising filtration in a variety of food and beverage applications. Available in 10, 20, 30 and 40 inches, these filters offer an extended service life, improved performance and throughput with reliable spoilage microorganism retention.

Powerfully efficient filtration
LifeASSURE BBA Series Filters are constructed of a single layer of microfibre nonwoven polypropylene and a single layer of PES microporous membrane pleated with polypropylene upstream and downstream support material. The outer cage, inner core and reinforced end-cap adapters are made of polypropylene.
Filter cartridges are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system using the most advanced thermoplastic welding techniques for filter cartridge integrity. LifeASSURE BBA 0.65 μm filter cartridges are tested as a manufacturer’s claim (85% EFT at 0.5 μm) per NSF/ANSI Standard 401 for microplastic claims.
All filter cartridges are 100% integrity tested at a manufacturing location to verify quality.
- LifeASSURE BBA 0.65 μm filter cartridges are tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 401 for microplastic reduction (≥ 85% efficiency for particles ≥ 0.5 μm).
- Dual-layer construction for reliable spoilage microorganism retention and cost-effective filtration, improving the filter service life and performance.
- Offers broad chemical compatibility and is stable with most cleaning and sanitisation regimes.
- PES asymmetric membrane pleated with an upstream meltblown polypropylene microfiber media with upstream and downstream support material.
- Provides minimum 2x greater service life than 3M™ LifeASSURE BNA045 and/or 3M™ LifeASSURE™ BNA065 for beer applications.
