3M™ Zeta Plus™ ZB Series Filter Cartridges have a strong positive charge that provides enhanced reduction of negatively charged contaminants compared to a mechanical filtration mechanism alone. Our cartridges are optimised for clarification of pharmaceutical, biological, bioprocess and cosmetic fluids, in addition to providing protection of downstream sterilising grade membrane filters. They’re composed of advanced cellulose-based depth filtration media, designed to retain contaminants by both mechanical entrapment and electrokinetic adsorption. Zeta Plus filter media is comprised of high surface area filter aids embedded in a cellulose fibre matrix. During the manufacturing process, the ZB resin system incorporated into the filter media imparts a strong positive charge to the filter matrix to permanently form an interconnected filtration structure with positively charged electrokinetic capture sites. They’re manufactured to controls described in our Drug Master File on record with the FDA. Certificates of Quality are available with a regulatory support file. A range of housings are available.
