For sterile filtration of biological liquids where low protein binding is critical, use 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PDA Series Filter Capsule. We combine layers of an asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with our Advanced Pleat Technology in manufacturing 3M LifeASSURE PDA Series Filter Capsules. The highly asymmetric upstream layer provides prefiltration capacity for the downstream layer, which is also asymmetric. Together, the membrane layers create a gradient membrane pore morphology that provides a relatively high contaminant capacity and fast flow rates in a sterilising grade membrane filter. 3M LifeASSURE PDA Series capsule filters Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) construction helps to extend service life. This design technology is intended to increase the useful surface area while maintaining open flow paths between media pleats. It has an all-polypropylene structural components (end caps, adapters, media support, inner core and outer cage), and comes in multiple lengths to match customer applications. 3M LifeASSURE PDA filters are available with 0.2 and 0.1 μm rated membranes for critical sterilization applications, such as: Final 0.1 and 0.2 μm sterilising filtration of Biological Liquids. This includes pre-sterilised or sterilisable disposable capsules in various sizes as well as full-size cartridges.
