Product details

The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Whole House Scale Inhibition Replacement Water Treatment Cartridge AP431 reduce scale build-up on hot water-using appliances such as standard and tank-less water heaters, clothes washers and dishwashing machines. It’s ideal for keeping plumbing fixtures such as taps, pipes and shower heads working to full capacity, and can be changed quickly. Our cartridge has polyphosphates in small concentrations of 2-3 ppm, effectively preventing scale build-up by binding hardness-causing minerals such as calcium and magnesium to prevent them from solidifying on metallic surfaces. The polyphosphates also prevent corrosion by forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface. It’s manufactured using FDA CFR-21 compliant materials and is suitable for drinking and cooking water, and food applications. Features include: Flow rates: up to 37.9 lpm. 25 – 125 psi/172 – 862 kPa/1.7 – 8.6 Bar pressure range. 40 – 100 °F/4.4 – 37.8 °C temperature range. As tested by manufacturer's laboratory.
