3M™ CT Housings are our high quality, low cost pressure vessels, made from three-piece, all-metal housings with ring nut closures for single element baton style cartridge operations. Special designs are also available.

3M™ CT Housings are approved for use with a wide temperature and pressure operating range to cover most applications needs.
Special builds
3M West Europe SPSD Hardware team have extensive experience designing vessels for baton cartridges. This technical competence supports our CT range in service, and we can supply special designs if needed. The information in the following sections is typical for standard products – please contact your local 3M SPSD representative for further information.
Variants and construction materials
Sumps are all in 316L stainless steels. Heads are available in 316L Stainless steel. The locking nut is 304L.
Vessel: 1 and 2 cartridge high as standard. 1” BSP on both 1 and 2 high as standard
Accessories
All 3M CT models are delivered with brackets for wall mounting as standard.
Operating conditions
3M CT models have a maximum operating pressure and temperature for liquid of 20 bar g at 110 °C. For air and gas service, they have a maximum operating pressure and temperature of 10 bar g at 110 °C.
Actual operating temperatures will depend on the cartridge types and on the PED 2014/68/CE regulations that are applicable to pressure vessels.
PED 2014/68/CE
Standard 3M CT vessels are currently certified for Article 4.3 operation (Sound Engineering Practice). Special builds for PED Cat I and above are possible.
Gaskets
Nitrile gaskets are supplied as standard. A wide range of other gasket materials with the appropriate QA certification for them as required can also be supplied.
ATEX 2014/34/CE
3M CT housings are approved for use in ATEX condition II 2 GD IIC.
